HOODIES 4 HOMELESSNESS FOR HOMIE
HOODIES 4 HOMELESSNESS FOR HOMIE
I love working with the legends at HoMie. They’re just an incredible brand, who use all of their profits to support young people experiencing homelessness, whilst making super cool clothes.
More than 28,000 young Aussies don’t have a home of their own to sleep in every night in Australia. And when you think of people going through homelessness during a freezing cold winter, you see them often wearing a hoodie to keep the cold at bay.
So, the idea was simple. Wear a hoodie to work, to school or just at home on World Youth Homelessness Matters Day, by either buying one from HoMie, or wear your own hoodie and donate to HoMie and their charity partner White Lion.
The idea was fronted by the legendary Tommy Little, and then launched on Channel Ten’s The Project. For a test year, we were able to get almost 7,000 people on board, and sold more than $250,000 worth of HoMie hoodies in one night. Not a bad return! With extra planning, we’re sure to get heaps of corporate support as the years go on.
