MY AD FOR THE PITCH SEGMENT OF ABC TV'S "GRUEN"

I was invited to appear on ABC TV's hugely popular "Gruen" to pitch on their brief of "Free University for all". So, I took the approach of thinking about the hopes and dreams of our children, and seeing what may lay ahead for them both with free university, and without. Having two small children of my own made looking through their eyes feel quite stark and scary. The future promises so much when you're a kid, but a massive handbrake is applied to those dreams in the form of huge debt to the Australian government.

The pitch went extremely well, as it gained a clean sweep from all the judges. Plus, I got to feature my son and his friends in the commercial. Very clever people like the director Hayden Gregory pulled it together in next to no time, for next to no money. 

Funnily enough, winning this award means more to the Australian public, than all of my Lions put together. Because real people loved it. Stoked!
