HOW TO DRINK A GLASS OF WATER
HOW TO DRINK A GLASS OF WATER
A BOOK ABOUT MINDFULNESS, GRATITUDE, AND THE SIMPLE JOYS IN LIFE
We all know how to drink a glass of water. Or do we?
We can all get lost in the busy-ness of life. The stress. The problems. The conflicts. So, it’s no surprise we sometimes lose track of what’s truly important: gratitude, mindfulness, and the simple things in life.
Through accessible wisdom and engaging prose, “How to Drink a Glass of Water” invites you to come back to who you really are, and to view the world in a refreshed way.
You’ll never look at a glass of water the same way again.
It’s designed to be enjoyed with a glass of water for thirty or so minutes.
You can watch and listen to the audio book version for free or buy a print copy of the book (for $19.99).

Pass it on to as many people as you wish. The more people who can come back to the magic simplicity contained in this book, the better.
SAMPLE CHAPTER
I came up for the idea for this simple book, when on a flight from Sydney to Melbourne.
Usually, I love sitting in the window seat so I can stare at the incredible beauty of the clouds and marvel at the fact that I am flying through the air at more then eight-hundred kilometres an hour, thousands of metres above the ground.
It’s a sight that the greatest minds in history, like Leonardo da Vinci, Joan of Arc, Nikola Tesla, Cleopatra, Montezuma and anyone born before the advent of flight would have been absolutely dazzled by.
On this occasion, however, I was sat in the middle seat.
As the plane lifted off the ground, I comforted myself with the thought that at least I’d be able to glimpse over the shoulder of the woman seated next to me, at the passing clouds.
However as soon as I thought that, she closed the window cover, put her headphones in, and started watching a Netflix show on her mobile.
The re-boot of The Addams Family, “Wednesday” it was. It’s a very good show, but not a patch on the miracle of flight, in my opinion.
So, I decided to do something else.
I decided to ask for a glass of water from the flight attendant, and enjoy that water for as long as the rest of the flight went for.
The next thirty minutes or so was one of the most profound moments of my life.
I thought about many things I’d only given a cursory thought to before.
My mind travelled through the entire history of our planet and the infinite future of the Universe.
And beyond.
That is what this book is about.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed that glass of water.

Some very clever people helped me make this book a reality.
The audiobook version was recorded and mixed by the wonderful Paul Baxter from Baxter Sound. If you need a sound genius for any job you have, contact Paul. He’s not only a gun producer, he’s also one of the nicest guys on the face of this grand planet.
The book version was designed and illustrated by my friend Damian Galvin. What a legend he is. He has done such a beautiful job in producing such a clean and gorgeous looking book.
Thanks also to Jemma Mulholland who helped pull together the final artwork and printing set-up for the book.
The support of my wonderful family in Sheridan, Roarke, and Lila never goes unnoticed too. Let us always drink in life forever.
