It was quite an honour to be able to create the first ever above the line campaign that the Australian Women's Cricket team has ever had. The challenge was to engage cricket fans who love the Australian men's team, to support the women, whilst at the same time engaging the dormant women's market.
For this reason, I re-wrote the classic 1970s refrain from the stands of "Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust, if Lillee don't get you, Thommo must" to talk about all the current day female stars, such as Rachael Haynes, Elysse Perry, Jess Jonassen, Alyssa Healey, and Megan Schutt.
The campaign has already helped the women to their biggest ever home crowd, and achieved wide recognition in mainstream media.
