The Melbourne Football Club was struggling. Bottom of the ladder, membership falling, confidence low. So, this idea gave the chance for two fans to become actual members of the team for one special week only. I’ve never seen two happier people in my life when they ran onto the ground. Got onto prime time national news and was, of course, part of the game’s telecast.
