I’M NOT CRYING…
I’M JUST CUTTING ONIONS
THE BIG ISSUE:
Aussies tend to put on a brave face and pretend everything is alright… for many, particularly men, crying is a sign of weakness.
THE BIG IDEA:
That’s why the new show “I’m not crying… I’m just cutting onions”, that classic phrase many Aussies use to hide their emotions, is here to normalise being in touch with your sad side, while also having a boat load of fun. I created this show with one of Australia’s leading comedians Tommy Little; a man with a soft side and a deep empathy for life’s ups and downs.
THE BIG RESULTS:
5 episodes in and the combined viewership for the full episodes and shorts on social media has just ticked over 4,000,000+ views.
So far we have featured A-List celebs such as Australian TV and radio royalty Carrie Bickmore, comedians Nazeem Hussain and Dave Hughes, rapper 360, radio host Lauren Phillips, and the most infamous of them all Tommy’s long-suffering housemate Jonny “Longballs”.
We’ve covered life advice for 50 year-olds, the difference between men and women, live-streaming a father’s death during COVID, becoming a born again Christian, and how to be at one with the Universe.
